How to Complete KYC Identity Verification

Introduction


KYC (Know Your Customer) is a way for companies to identify and verify customers. We are required to perform this verification for transactions of $1000 and above in accordance with existing compliance requirements determined by the regulatory bodies that govern the banking industry.
This article will give you detailed step-by-step instructions on how to do that exactly.

*** Please ensure you have ONE of the following on-hand before beginning the KYC process: Driver's License, Passport or ID card (any government issued photo ID with Latin characters that is valid and NOT expired).***

KYC Step by Step Instructions

Here is a quick step-by-step guide on how to complete the KYC process for any Bloc Pay invoices of $1000 or more:

  • Step 1 - Input your name and birthday - On the identity verification screen, ensure that the prepopulated information is correct. If not, please edit the circled free format boxes.

           

  • Step 2 - Upload Photo ID - Select the Photo ID drop down box and click the Document Type selection screen. You'll have the option of choosing Driver's License, Passport or ID card. Select the one that you have on hand because you'll be required to take a photo of the front and back of the card/document. Please ensure the photo is not blurry, not obstructed by any object, and is taken in good lighting. You can always retake the picture if needed.
    ***Please note that you may be asked if your internet browser can have access to your camera when photographing your card/document. Please select "yes" or "allow" if you see this screen, otherwise the camera app won't open and you won't be able to proceed.***

           

  • Step 3 - Upload Selfie Photo - You will also be asked to take a picture of your face in the next drop down box under Selfie Photo. Please ensure that your face takes up the majority of the screen and that you're looking directly into the camera lens. Please ensure the photo is not blurry, not obstructed by any object, and is taken in good lighting. You can always select the retake the picture button before capturing the image with the Take Selfie Picture button if needed:
    ***If you're unable to view a live preview of the front facing camera, you will have to try opening the Aegis payment link from your e-mail in a different internet browser app.***

           

  • Step 4 - Complete Verification and Upload Documents - After steps 1-3 are completed, you can scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Verify button. ***Remember, you can always click the Restart button at the bottom of the page if you made a mistake along the way or want to restart the process.***

    Please wait for the documents to upload to our secure cloud storage system and for the verification process to finish. Do not close or refresh your browser while you wait. This whole process should only take about a minute.
    ***If the verification fails, you will have to repeat steps 1-4 again. Please ensure your photos are not blurry, not obstructed by any object, and are taken in good lighting because this is usually why the verification fails.***
